My First Summer Vacation...By Benjamin Ross

Last weekend we took our first ever summer vacation. We went to Six Flags, saw a Cirque Du Soleil show called "Coobrila", and went to the Dallas Aquarium. I had TONS of fun and so did Mom and Dad!!! Here's a play by play description of my weekend...

First, we had to drive a LOOONNNGGG way through ALOT of traffic to get to our hotel. Mom's not big on five lanes of traffic, but she made it through without ripping the door handle off somehow!

Because Daddy is such an excellent chauffeur, there was no need for me to be a backseat driver, so I just stocked up on some sleep.

Then I had to get all cleaned up and ready to go to Six Flags. This bathtub is alot smaller than the one I use at home. It was just my size!!!

After my bath, I kicked back and watched some TV while Mommy and Daddy got ready.

When we got to Six Flags, I was so excited to be there that I could barely contain myself! Luckily, I was strapped into my stoller! =0)

Here is a picture of us in front of the poster for the show we went to see that evening.

Mom played this game that involved swinging a hammer at this pole thing...

She didn't hit it quite hard enough, so I decided to give it a whack...

I did so good that I won my very own snake! I named him Mr. Slithersworth and decided to show him who was in charge, so I chewed on him...just a little!!!

The people who made up the rules at Six Flags decided that I was too little to ride on any of the rides, so we just walked around and met superheroes and stuff...

This was a character from the Cirque Du Soleil show. His Mommy must have made him eat his vegetables too, because he was SUPER tall!!!

We also met some funny looking people...They kind of looked like some characters I had seen on TV, but I'm not really sure...

After it got dark, all these lights came on in the trees. I tried to count them all, but there was just too many!

I really wanted to see the show, but I fell asleep while we were waiting in line.

This little boy, who was not quite as cute as me but almost, really wanted to play but I was just too tired!

Even though the show was REALLY loud, I slept through the whole thing. It had been a very long day! Mommy and Daddy took plenty of pictures so I could look at them later.

After the show, I woke up just long enough for a woman to take our picture by one of the show's set pieces.

After we left Six Flags, we got lost for a little while. Really it was like an hour or two, but don't tell Mommy and Daddy I told you that! When we got back to the hotel, we were all very tired. I was so tired, in fact, that I slept like a baby.

The next morning, I woke up and was sooo happy!

I was ready to go to the Dallas Aquarium. See...it even says "Are we there yet?" on my shirt!

Mom and Dad were taking forever...So I decided to play around with my hat and bear and look all cute.

When we FINALLY got on the road, I was so tired from being so cute that I decided to take a nap so that I would be all bright eyed and bushy tailed for the fishes!!!

We got to the aquarium and looked around for a little while before the sharks were going to be fed...

Even Nemo was there! I wonder how he gets from there to my TV screen??

Here's me and Mom standing in front of one of the tanks. See that big rock thing behind us??

Well, as it turned out...it wasn't a rock at all. It was a HUGE alligator turtle!!!

Mr. Bob..the Aquarium Know-It-All person, told us all about the sharks. It was neat to see them eat, but because it was so fast, it was hard to take a picture of it.

After we watched the sharks eat, we were hungry too! We went to the West End and ate at the Spaghetti Warehouse. The hostess gave me some crayons and some paper, but I just wanted to chew on the page!

When the food came out, it looked really good. Unfortunately, I couldn't just grab a fork and dig in, so I ate Daddy's hand instead!

Daddy finally gave in and gave me some of his lunch. It was love at first bite!

Well, that pretty much sums up our weekend. I hope you had almost as much fun looking at my pictures as I did being in them! And I would like to send a very special thank you to my Aunt Melanie, Uncle Jason, and Riley-Cate who made this whole vacation possible. You guys are the bestest!!! =0)

Love and Please-Give-Me-Some-More-Spaghetti,

Benjamin G. Ross
